STORY STORY STORY

Facebook reminded me of this gist.

Hello friends. How're you doing?

As I was heading to the restroom, I saw some women gathered. There were three of them. I smelt gist. So, I went closer and behold there was indeed gist, lol. I pressed "Pause" on the 'Restroom Business'. So, I'll go to the restroom and miss gist...No, no, no.

So, I joined the gist. They were talking about men that give their family members the impression that its their wives that are spending all their money whereas the woman is the one spending her money for the family upkeep. I'd had a similar conversation with some men last week and told them to stop disturbing my peace with "My wife is spending my money". I told the guys that the percentage of women who are bearing ALL the financial burden of the home is increasing. One of the men started telling me how it was the woman's fault for not "marrying in the Lord"...I just kept quiet and let him talk to his satisfaction. I escaped immediately I found an escape route, though.
Back to the women's gist...One of the women said she called her husband's mother and told her in his presence that the man is not giving EITHER his wife or his mother money so Mama should help her ask him where his money was going to. I guess he never hexperedit. She says that he started stammering...Lol.

All their gist reminded me of the story one of my sisters in the Lord told us (Holy sisters share "testimonies" to encourage one another joor...it's not gossip, lol). She said it happened to the neighbour of the sister of her colleague's cousin (OK, I can't remember who exactly it happened to)...She says that the man was a loving and doting husband/father. Apparently, that annoyed the man's elder sister who was his "all-in-all" before he got married. So, one day, as the man was travelling to Abuja (I think), the bus he was travelling in had a ghastly accident and by the time the villagers from the close-_by village came out to help, the bus was covered with soldier ants so none of them could help the survivors. They all died (Ah! Nkan be).
My sister says that the widow was accused of killing her husband and was subjected to every kind of inhuman treatment you can think of. The widow kept praying "fire prayers". After about 2 years, the man's sister suddenly fell ill and she confessed that she was responsible for her brother's death. His crime was that he wanted to take the papers of some of his landed properties that he had kept with his sister and give them to his wife as they were now one flesh. Big sis didn't like the sound of it so she orchestrated his death...

Like I said earlier, someone told me this story. I don't know if it's true or false. All I know is that we need to let God guide our decisions. I keep saying that family isn't always blood...My people, be guided ooo.

What stood out for you in this my long story? What lessons will you like to emphasize? Let's go...

*I finally left the women when my "restroom business" was threatening to disgrace me, lol*
Have you eaten?
