4pm already? How time flies', Gbenro thought to himself.   He had just got back from class and was expecting Esther. That girl did things to his insides that he couldn't really explain. Too bad she wasn't a Yoruba girl and from a well-to-do family. He couldn't risk annoying his dad by publicly flouting his policy of marrying within the tribe and not crossing class boundar ies. He remembered the one time he tried to stand up to his dad. It had almost destroyed his parents' marriage and almost took his mother's life. No one dared incur Chief Phillips' wrath. It was a bit of a struggle for her to decide whether or not to take medication.
